Fully Registered Rifle & Pistol Range
The Amanzimyama Pistol & Rifle Range is a fully registered range, certified by the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications – AZC 2011/021. The range is utilized by The South African Police Service, KZN Hunters and Conservation Association Members, Kokstad Shooting Club Members and other members of the public. The Range has been registered with NHSA as an official range enabling NAT Shoot members to submit postal shoots done at the range.
Range fees must be paid in advance and range time is by prior arrangement only. Kokstad Shooting Club Members qualify for a 50% discount on Range Fees with no charge for Range or registration fees on official organised Kokstad Shooting Club Shoots.

AMANZIMYAMA RIFLE AND PISTOL RANGE SAFETY RULES
GENERAL
The shooting range is suitable for all caliber rifle and handguns.
No shooting of glass bottles is permitted.
All hand guns shall be kept in a holster at all times when not in use.
All rifles will be placed in the safe area provided with the bolts removed.
No person shall touch or pick up any fire arm that does not belong to him/her.
No consumption of alcohol shall be allowed at the range during the shoot.
No person under the influence of alcohol will be allowed to participate in any shooting discipline.
All spectators are to remain behind the fence on the outside of the range.
Only shooters actively shooting and range officer are allowed into the range area.
RANGE OFFICER
Before shooting commences the range officer is to ensure the following:
- That all cattle are removed from the danger zone above the back stop.
- That red flags are erected at the entrance gate, shooting point and back stop
- That all procedures and range rules be explained to shooters prior to the range being opened.
- That range rules are enforced and followed at all times.
RULES OF CONDUCT FOR SHOOTERS
The instructions of the range officer shall be complied with at all times.
Fire arms will only be loaded on instruction of the range officer and will take place at the firing point only.
All shooting is to be directed to the target area and no shooting at any wild life whatsoever is permitted.
Hearing and eye protection shall be worn when shooting.
No turning around with a loaded fire arm on the firing point is permitted.

KSC Members Unofficial Shoots – R30.00
KSC Members Official Shoots – R0.00
Targets – All persons utilizing the Range must provide their own targets and my only use official sanctioned targets on the range. No Glass bottles or other foreign objects. Anyone found to be misusing or damaging range equipment will be charged and may be banned from the range.
